Why Brighton & Hove skaters visit The Skate Farm
Feb 27, 2025
Brighton & Hove has some great outdoor skate spots — but when the weather’s off or parks feel too busy, riders look for something more reliable. That’s why so many skaters, scooter riders and families from Brighton and Hove now visit The Skate Farm in Haywards Heath.
Families are making the 35-minute journey up to The Skate Farm in Haywards Heath. So why? It comes down to community, layout, chill sessions, smaller ramps, private coaching, and a supportive skate community awaits — ideal for beginners and returning skaters.
We’re not just about ramps - The Skate Farm offers something for everyone, and it’s just 35 minutes from Brighton.

Coaching with heart
Our lead coach, Tom, he is as good with kids as he is on a board. Whether your child is 4 or 14, the team bring calm energy and great teaching, making everyone feel part of the session, no matter their ability.
Friendly and inclusive
We know skateparks can be overwhelming for some. That’s why we are creating a quiet sensory room — perfect for kids who need a break mid-session. Whether it’s neurodivergent riders who need time out, or just kids feeling overstimulated, there’s a calm, cosy space to reset.
We also cap numbers for each session to avoid overcrowding, and our team is always on hand to offer support if a rider is struggling.

Worth the trip
The Skate Farm is just off the A23 with free parking outside, and Haywards Heath station is only 10 minutes away. We’re open every day for skateboarding, scootering and inline skating — plus we offer lessons, parties, and private hire.
If you're looking for a family-friendly skatepark with a chilled vibe, experienced coaches and thoughtful facilities, come and try a session at The Farm.
