Meet the team behind the Skate Farm CIC
Aug 26, 2025
At the heart of the Skate Farm is its community — not just the riders who drop in each week, but also the volunteers who give their time and energy to keep the place running and growing. This month we want to shine a light on two incredible mums who have been giving so much to the Skate Farm: Emma Waring and Danielle Caudill.
Emma Waring
Emma has been part of the Skate Farm from the very beginning, coming along with her two children. She quickly recognised the vision: to create a truly inclusive space where everyone could feel welcome and thrive. With a background in projects that support marginalised groups, Emma felt right at home stepping into a volunteering role earlier this year.
She now helps with admin, funding applications and strategic planning — all vital to the long-term success of the Skate Farm. A qualified teacher and local government officer, Emma brings expertise in autism and neurodivergence, helping to shape a space that supports all young people.
Emma is DBS and first aid trained, ensuring she can support on sessions safely. Her son Ray also volunteers his time, lending a hand at the park and even designing T-shirts for the Skate Farm!

Danielle Caudill
Danielle is mum to three boys and has been a big supporter of the Skate Farm since the doors opened. She knew her children would thrive here, and quickly became part of the community effort to keep the Skate Farm growing. Her husband, a talented garden landscaper, is already lined up to help transform the outdoor BBQ area in the near future.
Danielle brings decades of high-level retail management and customer service experience. She’s also a licensed chaperone with paediatric first aid training, helping to make sure every session is safe, supportive and welcoming.
Back in the day, Danielle wasn’t afraid to prove that girls could skate too — pulling off her trademark “Sal Flip” while covered head-to-toe in “chocolate” and “girl” style!
Like Emma, Danielle is DBS and first aid trained. Her son Rococo also pitches in by stocking the fridge, cleaning, and chatting with parents, making everyone feel comfortable and included.

Building the Skate Farm together
The Skate Farm wouldn’t be what it is without the people who care deeply about it. Emma and Danielle are living proof that the CIC is more than just a skatepark — it’s a hub for families, a place where skills are shared, and a community that keeps growing stronger thanks to the time and effort of its members.
Next time you’re at the Farm, be sure to say hello and thank them for all they do!
