Why we exist
We started The Skate Farm to give Sussex a space where everyone could skate — beginners, families, and riders of all ages. What began as an idea between friends is now a Community Interest Company (CIC), putting everything back into the park, the people, and the ramps. It’s more than a skatepark - it’s where confidence grows, friendships form, and community comes first.
Park layout
Our indoor skatepark has three unique areas — each built for different skill levels and riding styles.

Mini ramp garden
The perfect place to start. With mellow transitions and low coping, it’s ideal for beginners learning the basics and building confidence.

Half pipe
More height, more challenge. A smooth step up from the mini ramp — perfect for riders ready to push their limits and level up their skills.

The skate field
Named by young skater Raffa, this section features three connected zones designed to help riders grow from beginner to expert — all under one roof.

Chill out room
A mellow space to relax, recharge, and connect. Catch up with friends, watch skate vids, or just hang out between sessions.

Ollies Skate shop
From first setups to pro upgrades, our shop’s got you covered. Friendly advice, quality gear, and good vibes — all just steps from the ramps.

the heart behind the Farm
The OG - Skating Wizard, Tom

The Skate Farm exists because one skater believed skating could change lives — and that skater is Tom. A lifelong rider and coach, he built The Skate Farm, a community-run indoor skatepark in Haywards Heath, to give people of all ages a safe, supportive space to ride and grow.
Tom’s taught thousands to skate, fall, and get back up. For him, skateboarding isn’t just a sport — it’s confidence, connection, and self-discovery.

In 2024, Tom learned he’s neurodiverse — and suddenly his connection with young people made sense. His superpower? Helping others feel seen, understood, and valued.
Built from a dream.
For Tom, The Skate Farm is more than ramps and rails — it’s a way to give back. Whether he’s leading a one-to-one, fixing a ramp, or welcoming someone for the first time, his message never changes: be kind, be patient, believe in yourself.
Today, The Skate Farm CIC continues that mission — helping riders from Brighton, Crawley, Burgess Hill, and beyond find confidence on wheels.
