Our top 5 skatepark builds so far

Jul 23, 2025

From the intense 42° heat of Israel to minus 10 in Norway, Tom’s built ramps in every condition and for every rider. Over two decades, he’s helped shape legendary public skateparks, community hubs and dozens of private back garden builds for kids and adults alike. Whether it's skateboarding, scooting or inline — he builds ramps for everyone.

Over the past 20 years, Tom has quietly become one of the most trusted ramp builders in the UK. What started as a few backyard builds for mates has grown into a full-blown craft — shaped by rain-soaked job sites, endless wood deliveries, concrete pours in desert heat and freezing Nordic winds. From mini ramps for toddlers to bowls skated by pros, he’s honed his eye for detail, flow and safety with every screw and trowel. This isn’t just construction — it’s passion poured into plywood, concrete and coping.

Skateparks we’ve helped shape

Everton Park glow-in-the-dark skatepark in Liverpool at night with tents and lights set up for the event

1. Everton Park, Liverpool - 2015

The glow-in-the-dark skatepark - Perched above the city with views of the skyline, this park isn't just fun to ride — it's designed to inspire. Built with UV-reactive concrete that glows at night, it's become a beacon for the Liverpool skate scene. The flowing bowl section, plaza-style ledges and unique centrepiece tree make it unforgettable. Skated by Geoff Crowley in a Thrasher edit, this one holds a special place in UK skate history.

Massive indoor skatepark with ramps, transitions, and bowl areas at Rush Skatepark in Gloucestershire

2. Rush Skatepark, Gloucestershire - 2013

Rush wasn’t just another build — it was a monster of a project. Housed inside a 40,000 sq ft converted barn, it became one of the UK’s largest indoor skateparks and took over 6 months to complete, with a full crew working across multiple zones. From foam pits and resi ramps to bowls, street plazas, and pump tracks — Rush had it all.

Tom played a key part in bringing the park to life and remembers just how collaborative the build was — a real team effort involving so many passionate people from the skate, BMX, and scooter communities. Rush went on to host major events and was even used by Olympic teams for training in the run-up to Tokyo 2020.

Sadly, the park closed in 2022, but it left behind a legacy that’s still talked about today. For many, it was a second home. A space that brought together pros and first-timers alike under one roof — all year round.

3. Lancing Skatepark, Lancing Beach Green - 2017

Tucked near the South Coast, this concrete gem was shaped for smooth flow and minimal maintenance. Designed to help all riders progress, it includes roll-ins, step-ups, spine transfers and rail lines. It’s clean, accessible, and has great sight lines for parents to watch or film from the perimeter. Tom rates this as one of his best-balanced builds.

4. Mitzpe Ramon, Israel - 2022

This project pushed us to the limits — constant 42°C days, sandstorms and logistical headaches. But the result? A stunning park covered in street art, with deep bowls, hips, and transitions that suit fast lines and tech tricks alike. A real focal point in the region's scene, this one blends art and function seamlessly.

Open concrete skatepark in Mandal, Norway with ramps, ledges, and trees in the background

5. Skatepark Mandal, Norway - 2011

Skatepark Mandal was a technical build in freezing -10°C temps, but worth every frostbitten moment. It’s one of Norway’s most scenic skateparks, set in a peaceful green space surrounded by tall trees — and the concrete layout rides beautifully. With a mix of mellow transitions, stair sets, and modern street features, it’s a perfect example of design blending with nature. Tom’s work here helped make it one of southern Norway’s best-rated parks — and it’s still going strong.

Built for back gardens too

During the pandemic, Tom built 28 backyard mini ramps for families across the UK. Each ramp is made to suit the space, level and vibe of the rider. From compact 4ft setups to wider ramps with platforms, he’s helped bring skateboarding home — literally.

Check out some of the best ones built:
