Gloworm Festival 2025 – Thank You!
Aug 12, 2025
Gloworm Festival 2025 was amazing! The Wizard of Skate (AKA Tom) and Lily ran skateboarding workshops on our mini ramp, teaching tricks and inspiring kids and parents alike.
An Amazing Weekend at Gloworm
Gloworm Festival is such a brilliant family-focused event, and we were thrilled to be part of it this year. The Wizard of Skate (AKA Tom) ran workshops across the weekend, introducing more than 300 kids to skateboarding. Watching families get involved, seeing the excitement as riders tried new tricks across the mini ramp, made it an unforgettable experience.
For Tom, the highlight was seeing the pure joy and determination on the kids’ faces. One young rider, Charlotte, tried skateboarding for the first time despite having cerebral palsy, and returned multiple times over the weekend to keep going. Moments like that are what make these events so rewarding — knowing that we’re helping kids gain confidence, learn new skills, and just have a great time.

Helping Hands – Lily’s Journey
Tom wasn’t alone — Lily joined him to help run the sessions. She first attended one of Tom’s workshops four years ago and has grown into an incredible skater herself. Seeing her teach and inspire the next generation on the ramp was brilliant, and it really shows how skateboarding can bring people together across ages and abilities.

The Ramp with a Story
One special part of the workshops was Lewis’ ramp, which carries a lot of meaning for Tom. It was given to him by Lewis’ mum after Lewis tragically passed during lockdown. Every session run on that ramp helps keep his memory alive, and seeing kids ride and enjoy it is incredibly powerful. It’s more than just a ramp — it’s a way of connecting, sharing, and celebrating the joy of skateboarding while remembering someone special.

Why We Love Festivals
We love being at festivals like Gloworm. The energy, the smiles, the chance to teach skateboarding in a fun, relaxed environment — it’s exactly why we do what we do. Every session, every laugh, every moment on the ramp reminds us why sharing skateboarding with kids and families is so important. We can’t wait to get back to more festivals and keep inspiring riders everywhere.
