From Burgess Hill to The Farm

Just 15 minutes down the road, The Skate Farm is fast becoming a favourite for families from Burgess Hill who want more than just a public skatepark. While St John’s Park has its place, it’s not always the best spot for beginners. At The Farm, you’ll find smaller ramps, calmer sessions, and a welcoming indoor space that helps young riders progress without pressure.

A better vibe for young riders

Busy outdoor parks can be intimidating — especially for kids who are new to skateboarding or scootering. At The Skate Farm, we’ve created a layout that encourages progression and confidence: soft transitions, clear open space, and group sessions designed to make learning feel fun and relaxed.

Private coaching

Whether it’s their first time standing on a board or they’re getting ready to learn tricks, our coaching team adapts to every rider. Tom and the crew are brilliant with kids of all ages and energy levels. Burgess Hill families often book regular sessions — especially during weekends or school holidays — to help their kids keep building confidence.

Friendly and inclusive

Not every kid thrives in a loud, competitive skatepark — and we get that. That’s why we keep session numbers small, encourage supportive riding, and are introducing a sensory space on site for those who need time out. Whether your child is neurodivergent, shy, or just starting out, we’ll meet them where they’re at.

Worth the trip

Just 15 minutes from Burgess Hill by car or train, The Skate Farm is easy to reach and even easier to settle into. There’s free parking on-site, toilets, and a schedule packed with scooter, skateboard and inline-friendly sessions. If you want a skatepark that actually supports your child’s learning — this is it.

Loved by families

All our visitors love the vibe, the coaching, and the welcoming atmosphere. Read our Google reviews or write us a new one!

Skate Farm Rocks! My 6 yr old loves The Skate Farm, Skate Farm family and Tom. Everyone is made to feel welcome , it is a super, family friendly place, where you can get lots of support and advice from peers who are more than willing to help you achieve ‘your best’. Tom Always has time for everyone, I don’t know how he does it, but everyone needs a Tom in there life, he is calm, collective and supportive and puts you at ease he just has a way with adults and kids alike. He is ‘The Wizard of skate’ and his lessons are fun and tailored to ability but also has a way of pushing a little out of your comfort zone to achieve a little more and feel accomplished. My son just loves his time here and would have lessons all day everyday if he could.

Brilliant indoor skatepark, my boys love the different ramps and areas, also the Tech Deck area, chill out room and Posca wall! Comfy chairs and hot drinks for parents, it's a fun, safe and positive space to practice tricks and Tom is fantastic with the kids. It's my boys' favourite skatepark.

We love the Skate farm. Such a great community environment to learn to skate and practise new tricks and skills. Tom is so kind patient and knowledgeable when teaching, my son thoroughly enjoyed his 1-2-1 lesson and can't wait to go back.

Tom has a very special way of combining skateboard instruction with positive mindset, making it incredibly fun, whilst installing confidence and self-belief. My son came away buzzing with excitement, and can’t wait to practice all the skills he learnt! (And book his next lesson!)

I can't speak highly enough of this place or what Tom has built. It’s a brilliant indoor skatepark for all abilities, all ages, and everyone is welcome. The park is designed with challenging areas for advanced skaters, but it’s also perfect for beginners to learn the basics and keep developing their skills. The mini ramp is a huge hit—especially with my son Fox. Tom brings a real calmness and knows how to bring the best out of everyone. Everyone who comes here is so friendly. It’s great to see older kids and adults helping and encouraging the younger skaters, supporting them to try new things and build their confidence.

I love this place and have been down loads with my young daughter and eldest son. As a reborn skater myself, this is everything that skating should be about - all ages, all abilities, all supporting and helping each other. Tom is great with everyone and always willing to help and the place has a real community buzz about it. So whether you scoot, skate, are young or old, a beginner or a seasoned pro, get yourself down there and check it out. You will not be disappointed. I didn't picture myself at 50, getting back on a skateboard after nearly 30 years...yet, here I am!

Tom was fantastic with my 7-year-old, he really helped build his confidence and gave him loads of encouragement. It's such a great little community!
