From Brighton to The Farm

Brighton has a buzzing skate scene — but it’s not always the easiest place for beginners to get started. That’s why so many families are heading just 40 minutes north to The Skate Farm in Haywards Heath. With smaller ramps, chilled sessions, and coaching that’s actually built around progress (not pressure), it’s become a go-to spot for Brighton riders looking for something a little more welcoming.

A better vibe for young riders

Skateparks like The Level are legendary — but they can be intimidating, especially for younger skaters or scooter riders. The Skate Farm is all about progression: mellow transitions, wide open layouts, and smaller groups where kids can practise without the pressure. Whether they’re 5 or 15, they’ll have space to learn and confidence to grow.

Private coaching

Our coaching sessions are quiet, focused, and totally tailored. Tom and the team work brilliantly with kids of all abilities — whether they’re just getting started or ready to drop in. Families from Brighton often book 1-to-1 lessons or weekend group coaching to give their child focused time away from the busier city parks.

Friendly and inclusive

We know that not every child feels confident walking into a packed skatepark. That’s why we keep our sessions small and inclusive, and we’re adding a sensory room for kids who might need time to decompress mid-session. Whether your child is neurodivergent, shy, or simply needs space — they’ll be supported every step of the way.

Worth the trip

It’s a smooth 40-minute drive from Brighton to The Skate Farm, with free parking and sessions running daily. We’re open for skateboarding, scootering and inline — and we offer coaching, private hire, and parties too. If you’re looking for a skatepark that puts people first and progression second to none, we’d love to see you at The Farm.
