Safety first at Skate Farm

May 17, 2025

Skateboarding, scootering, and inline skating are all about fun and freedom — but safety always comes first. At Skate Farm, we’re serious about keeping our riders safe while they’re having the time of their lives.

Whether it’s your first time on wheels or your hundredth, one thing stays the same — you need to gear up properly. That’s why safety is built into everything we do at Skate Farm, from our lessons to our free skate sessions.

Helmets and pads: non-negotiable

To use the park, you must wear a helmet — no exceptions. We also strongly recommend elbow and knee pads for all riders, especially younger or beginner skaters.

Why? Because falling is part of learning — and the right gear helps prevent bumps, bruises, and more serious injuries. It’s not just about rules — it’s about respect for yourself, others, and the space we share.

Don’t have your own kit? We’ve got you covered

We get it — not everyone has gear at home. That’s why we offer a range of helmets and pads to borrow. Our team will help make sure it fits correctly, so you can ride confidently and comfortably.

We check and clean all our gear regularly to make sure it’s safe and ready to roll.

Trained, certified, and always looking out

Our commitment to safety goes beyond equipment. The Skate Farm team is trained and certified to handle a wide range of situations, so you can feel confident knowing you're in good hands:

🛡 Paediatric First Aid
💼 Emergency First Aid at Work
🧠 Designated Safeguarding Lead
✅ Enhanced DBS Checked
🔥 Fire Safety Awareness & Warden Duties

This isn’t just a skatepark. It’s a place for families, schools, and communities — and we take our responsibility seriously.

Ride safe, ride smart

Safety doesn’t kill the fun — it keeps it going. By wearing the right gear and riding with awareness, we can all enjoy the park to the fullest. So grab your helmet, suit up, and let’s roll — safely, confidently, and together.
